Sarawak-Sabah Link Road: Contractors for second, third phases appointed, construction expected to start by 2023

KUCHING, Nov 14: Contractors for the second and third phases of the Sarawak-Sabah Link Road (SSLR) project have been appointed to ensure immediate implementation.

Caretaker Prime Minister Datuk Patinggi Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the first phase of the SSLR project is currently under implementation.


“The second and third phases are expected to start by 2023, and I believe this project can be implemented immediately,” he said when officiating at the Pan Borneo Sarawak Selangau section in Sibu today.

On Sept 4, caretaker Senior Minister of Works Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof hoped that the second phase of the SSLR would be awarded to the contractor by early 2023. — DayakDaily
