Sarawak records 7 cases, no patients in Categories 3, 4 and 5

KUCHING, Jan 24: Sarawak has reported 7 cases today with no patients in Categories 3, 4, and 5.

According to Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today, Subis reported three new cases, followed by two cases in Kuching and one case each in Miri and Sarikei.

All reported new cases are under Category 1, pushing the total cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in the State to 252,709.


With no Covid-19 fatalities reported, the State death toll remained at 1,620.

Today, no new and active clusters were reported throughout the State.

Meanwhile, a total of 10 individuals in Kuching, Miri, and Kota Samarahan were issued with compounds in the last 24-hours for various standard operating procedures (SOPs) violations.

Four of the compounds were issued for failure to wear face masks, three for failure to practice physical distancing, two for failure to scan the QR code on MySejahtera or register manually before entering premises, and one compound for failure to abide by the SOPs set by the authority. — DayakDaily
