KUCHING, Aug 25: Sarawak police will be offering a 50 per cent discount on selected traffic summonses for three days in conjunction with the 68th National Day celebration.
According to a press release, the special offer is valid from Aug 26 to 28, with payments accepted at the Traffic Police Station payment counters in Miri and all district police headquarters (IPDs) across Sarawak.
Payment counters will be open from 9am to 4pm during the three-day period.
However, not all summonses are eligible for the discount. Among those excluded are summonses involving accidents, Op Selamat operations, non-compoundable offences (NC), court cases, heavy vehicle or lorry offences, dangerous overtaking or queue cutting, misuse of emergency lanes, running red lights, overtaking at double lines and illegal vehicle exhaust modifications.
The public is encouraged to take advantage of the limited-time offer to settle their outstanding traffic summonses. — DayakDaily
