Sarawak Governor, dignitaries break fast with students in Kuala Lumpur

KUCHING, March 23: Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi broke fast with 324 students in Kuala Lumpur yesterday (March 22).

The ceremony, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, also saw Wan Junaidi presenting contributions and ‘duit raya’ to students from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s Pusat GENIUS@Pintar Negara (PGPN) and higher learning institutions, including children of Sarawak Foundation’s (YS) staff in Kuala Lumpur and Rumah Sarawak.

He was accompanied by his wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi together with Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, along with Deputy Prime Minister Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof at the presentation ceremony.

Among others present at the ceremony were Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar and his wife Dato Fatimah Mohd Iskandar, Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and other distinguished guests. — DayakDaily
