KUCHING, Dec 4: The Sarawak Education Department team has emerged as champion in the ping-pong event for the Malaysian Government Servants Welfare and Sports Council (Maksak) Sarawak 2023 held at MBKS Sports Village yesterday (Dec 3).
The Persatuan Sukan & Kebudayaan Perkhidmatan Pelajaran (PSKPP)(B) brought home a cash prize worth RM1,000, a trophy, and medals.

Meanwhile, the Department’s sister team, Persatuan Sukan & Kebudayaan Perkhidmatan Pelajaran (PSKPP)(A), won second place, bagging a RM700 cash prize, a trophy, and medals.

The joint third places were secured by Sokanjaya Eagle of Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR) and Sarawak Energy Berhad’s Sports Club. They brought home a RM300 cash prize, a trophy, and medals, respectively.
The Sarawak Maksak Pingpong Tournament commenced yesterday and continues today with the participation of 20 teams. — DayakDaily
