Sarawak delegation share methods used for holding DUN sitting during Covid-19 at 65th CPC in Canada

KUCHING, Sept 5: A Sarawak delegation shared about methods used for holding State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sittings with ‘The Society of Clerks-at-the-Table’ (SoCATT) members during Covid-19 at 65th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Canada last August.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) yesterday (Sept 4), the delegation was accompanied by the DUN deputy speaker and Muara Tuang assemblyman Dato Idris Buang, chief political secretary to the Premier of Sarawak and Tupong assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman, Serembu assemblyman Miro Simuh, and DUN secretary Pele Peter Tinggom.

The CPC conference which was held from Aug 20 until 26, brought together over 500 Members of Parliament, Parliament staff and decision makers from across the Commonwealth nations to address critical issues faced in Parliaments.

There were also various other conferences and meetings held including the 65th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) General Assembly, the CPA Sub-Branch Conference. — DayakDaily
