KUCHING, April 21: Sarawak recorded another brought-in-dead (BID) case involving an 82-year-old woman from Kuching, along with 151 new daily Covid-19 cases today.
The latest figures has pushed the overall State Covid-19 tally to 304,432 and death toll to 1,725.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its latest update on the Covid-19 situation in Sarawak, reported that the sole BID case with comorbidities of hypertension and diabetes was confirmed on April 19.
Meanwhile, Kuching continues to top the list with 47 cases, followed by Miri (23), Bintulu (18) and Sibu (17).
A total of 22 districts registered single digit cases with Bau has five cases; Matu (4); Serian, Sarikei, Sri Aman, Simunjan, Pusa and Samarahan (3 each); Lubok Antu, Limbang, Tatau, Lundu, and Kapit (2 each); while Asajaya, Mukah, Betong, Telang Usan, Dalat, Kabong, Tebedu, Kanowit and Selangau has one case each.
The majority of cases at 97 are classified under Category 2 with mild symptoms, while 51 cases are classified under Category 1 with no symptoms.
There are three cases with severe conditions with one in Category 5 with pneumonia and requiring ventilator support and two in Category 4 with pneumonia and requiring oxygen support. — DayakDaily
