Sarawak advances Entrepreneur Development Database, seeks inter-agency collaboration

KUCHING, Aug 20: The Sarawak government, through the Ministry of International Trade, Industry and Investment (Mintred), is progressing with the establishment of the Sarawak Entrepreneur Development Database.

Deputy Premier and Mintred Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan emphasised the importance of inter-agency cooperation to facilitate the sharing of existing data for the successful development of this database.

This update was presented at the National Entrepreneurship Development meeting, chaired by Malaysia Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, held in Kuala Lumpur today.

During the meeting, Awang Tengah also highlighted that the approaches to developing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurship in Sarawak differ from those in Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah, necessitating tailored strategies.

The meeting was attended by Mintred advisor Dato Sri Mohd Naroden Majais, along with various exco members and representatives from each state in Malaysia. — DayakDaily
