Salesgirl compounded for breaching pandemic’s SOP

SIBU, March 11: A 27-year old salesgirl of a handphone shop was fined RM1,000 for defying the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).

Sibu district police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said at about 12.08pm yesterday, an Integrated SOP monitoring team led by ASP Kushairy Bujang went to the shop at Jalan Market for inspection.

“When asked by the team why the shop did not provide MySejahtera code for customers to scan, the salesgirl said it was not necessary,” he said.


As a result, she was issued a compound for an offence under Regulation 18 of the Prevention and Control of infectious diseases (Measures Within the Infected Local Areas) Regulations 2021.— DayakDaily
