KUCHING, June 26: Sarawak Dayak Iban Association (Sadia) will be holding its Triennial National Assembly at Sentosa Sentral this Sept 7 to elect new office bearers.
The agenda of the meeting includes election of the permanent chairman of the National Assembly and to receive the report from National Executive Committee reviewing the association’s activities and progress during the years since the last National Assembly.
There will be the election of the executive committee and auditor for the ensuing three years as well as to examine the accounts.
The meeting, according to its secretary-general Nicholas Mujah Ason, is also “to decide on any motion or resolution submitted by the Executive Committee or any member of any branch or affiliate of the association, of which 21 days notice has been given before the day of the meeting, provided that in the event of a motion or resolution being of an urgent or immediate nature, a shorter notice may be given under the certificate of urgency from the National Executive Committee, which shall be given by the secretary-general and the president of the National Executive Committee”. — DayakDaily
