KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28: The fuel price for RON97 and RON95 for the period of August 29 to September 4 will be adjusted upward by one sen a litre.
However, diesel price is reduced by two sen a litre for the same period.
According to the Finance Ministry in a press statement, it said the weekly setting of the retail price for petroleum products for the period of August 29 to September 4 follows the automatic pricing mechanism (APM).
Hence, the ministry said the retail price for RON97 and RON95 were increased to reflect the changes.
It revealed that the price for RON97 will be increased by one sen to RM2.02 per litre while the price for RON95 will be adjusted upward by one sen to RM1.72 a litre.
The Finance Ministry added diesel price for August 29 to September 4 will be lowered by two sen to RM1.78 a litre.
It asserted that the federal government is closely monitoring the effect of the changes in crude oil price and taking appropriate measures to ensure that the welfare of the people are taken care of. —DayakDaily
