SERIAN, July 2: Kampung Rituh Labuan and Kampung Rituh Mawang here will be connected by road with the implementation scheduled for this year.
In stating this, Puncak Borneo MP Datuk Willie Mongin said the project has been approved by the federal government.
According to him, the project has been implemented, but unfortunately the implementing agency did not follow the initial route.
“For the road connecting the two villages (Kampung Rituh Labuan and Kampung Rituh Mawang), it should have been implemented.
“But the implementing agency did not follow the initial route and I have reprimanded them.
“So knowing this has happened, I have written to the federal government for the project, which have been approved and should be implemented this year,” Willie said when speaking at the Ukas engagement with community programme at Kampung Rituh Labuan, today.
Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn officiated at the function.
Apart from the road project, Willie also said a sanitary landfill for Kampung Rituh Labuan has also been approved and will greatly benefit the villagers.
Meanwhile, he said it will be easy for both himself and Sagah to bring development to the area since both of them are under Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).
He also urged the people to continue supporting the GPS government under Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, who has been able to bring in investment and increase Sarawak’s revenue. — DayakDaily
