Road diversion at Jln Simpang Tiga from July 2-Dec 31 for viaduct pillar works

KUCHING, July 2: A temporary road diversion has been implemented at Jalan Simpang Tiga, from Jalan Tun Jugah heading towards the city centre here, starting today until Dec 31, 2025, for the construction of viaduct pillars.

According to a notice by Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd (Sarawak Metro), the diversion will be in effect 24 hours daily over a six-month period to facilitate the construction work.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution when driving through the affected area and to comply with all traffic management control measures, road warning signs, and speed limits to ensure the safety of both road users and construction workers.

The public will be duly notified if there are any changes to the road diversion schedule.

Road users are also encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid delays.
