MIRI, Aug 18: Several roads will be closed, with detours in place and parking restrictions during the Miri City Parade scheduled to take place tomorrow (Aug 19).
The citu parade is held in conjunction with the Sarawak 60th independence celebration.
According to Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, road closures, detours and parking restrictions have commenced since Aug 17 for the dry run, and will be in place on the day of the event (Aug 19).

These roads include Jalan Marina Utama (to be closed both ways); Jalan Marina 1 (both sides to be closed); a detour a U-turn for Jalan Marina 3 and Jalan Marina 5.
Those attending the event are advised to park their cars at Marina, Centre Point and near Miri Times Square. — DayakDaily
