MIRI, Sept 26: Several roads in the city centre to Dewan Suarah Miri (Miri Civic Centre) will be temporarily closed, with road diversions in place for the Maulidur Rasul procession on Sept 28.
Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the road closure and diversions will commence at 5.30am on Sept 28.
Affected roads that will be temporarily closed are Bukatan Kipas/Jalan Kipas, Jalan Bintang/Jalan Merdu, Jalan Sylvia/Jalan Merdu, Jalan Post, Jalan Setia Raja, Jalan Nakhoda Gampar/Jalan South Yu Seng, Simpang Merpati and Simpang Jalan Persekutuan.
Meanwhile, the diversions road are Jalan Sylvia traffic light (u-turn), Jalan Brooke Traffic light (u-turn) and the Mega Traffic light (u-turn).
Motorists have been reminded not to park their vehicles on road shoulders to avoid obstructing traffic flow during this time. — DayakDaily
