RMAF personnel to enter defence for allegedly raping teenager

KUCHING, Oct 27: The Sessions Court here ordered a Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) personnel who was charged with raping a 16-year-old girl to enter into his defence on 13 and 14 January 2021.

Sessions Court Judge Marutin Pagan today ruled that the prosecution managed to establish a prima facie case against the accused and therefore ordered the accused to enter his defence on 13 and 14 January 2021.


Alfian Shah Lauren Wahab was accused of raping a 16-year-old girl at a hotel at Jalan Abell, between 2am and 3am on August 31, 2016.

He was charged under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code, which carries an imprisonment term which may extend to 20 years and whipping upon conviction.

The court allowed Alfian a bail of RM8,000 with one surety pending the date.
