KUCHING, Dec 29: The one-off special financial assistance of RM700 for 1.3 million civil servants Grade 56 and below and RM350 for one million retired civil servants will be disbursed on Jan 17, 2023.
According to a news report on TVS, the Public Service Department (JPA) announced this in a circular signed by deputy director-general (Development) Datuk Dr Zulkapli Mohamed in its official Facebook posting yesterday (Dec 28).
According to the circular, those eligible include public service officers of the management and professional group as well as the implementation group still serving on Jan 17, 2023.
It also covers permanent, temporary and contract of service appointed officers; officers on full paid leave; officers on half-pay leave; officers on leave without pay; officers under the Malaysian Short-Term Employment Programme (MySTEP) who served for at least six months in 2022, and are still serving under the programme on Jan 17, 2023; and interim teachers.
On Dec 20 during a special Parliament session, the unity government agreed to continue giving an additional annual salary increment (KGT) of RM100 to all civil servants from Grade 11 to 56.
In addition, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also announced that the unity government agreed to give RM700 to civil servants Grade 56 and below, and RM350 to government retirees. — DayakDaily
