The entire construction timeline is expected to take about 15 months.

“This project is progressing remarkably fast. We only held the groundbreaking ceremony in October last year, and now the building has reached the second floor and is nearing the third.

“This reflects the strong collaboration among all parties involved, including highly committed contractors. We are truly grateful for the collective effort driving this project forward,” he said during a site visit on Friday (July 11).

During the visit, the Sarawak government also handed over a cheque worth RM1.5 million to the SJK Chung Hua Batu 11 Board of Management to support the ongoing construction works.

Present at the event was Chief Political Secretary to the Premier of Sarawak and Tupong assemblyman Dato Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman.

Fazzrudin expressed appreciation to Dr Sim for securing the additional funding, ensuring that the project stays on track.

“Datuk Amar Dr Sim has brought a RM1.5 million cheque to support the school’s continued development. We are committed to completing this school as soon as possible so students can benefit from the new facilities without delay,” he said.

The school, which is designed to accommodate over 100 students, has received a total of RM4 million in funding to date from the Sarawak government, including the latest disbursement. — DayakDaily
