KUCHING, Oct 21: The recently completed RM50,000 rural transformation programme (RTP) project for the upgrading of the Borneo Garden Recreational Park has brought new life to the community space.
In a press release, Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap Yau Sin has reiterated his commitment to transforming his constituency into a cleaner, greener and more liveable community through continuous collaboration with local authorities such as the Kuching South City Council (MBKS).
This was demonstrated during the final inspection of the completed RTP project for the upgrading of the Borneo Garden Recreational Park today.
The project, implemented by Syarikat Pembinaan Hafiz and supervised by MBKS officers, marks the second phase of improvements to the community park aimed at enhancing public amenities and the quality of life for residents in Kota Sentosa.
Yap emphasised that recreational parks are vital spaces that encourage residents to lead active lifestyles and strengthen community ties.
“A well-maintained recreational park encourages families, children and senior citizens to spend more time outdoors, exercise and interact with one another. This contributes to a happier and healthier community,” he said.
He also extended his appreciation to MBKS for their cooperation and commitment in ensuring the project’s timely and efficient completion.
“As the elected representative, I will continue to work closely with MBKS to identify areas that can be upgraded for the benefit of all residents. A good living environment is the foundation for quality of life,” Yap added.
He further urged residents to take shared responsibility in maintaining the upgraded park facilities and keeping the area clean for everyone’s enjoyment. — DayakDaily
