Speaking at the officiating of the BEM Senadin Church’s 2026 Christmas Caroling Launch Service here on Friday (Nov 6), Lee expressed hope that the project could be implemented within the next one to two years with continued support from the Sarawak government.

He said the State government remained committed to supporting houses of worship of various faiths through Unifor, including the construction of new buildings, repair works, renovations, and extensions.

He added that this inclusive approach reflected the government’s commitment to preserving harmony and unity among Sarawak’s multiracial and multireligious communities.

Lee also emphasised the role of religious institutions in shaping younger generations with strong moral values, discipline, and positive principles in life, while encouraging greater youth participation in religious activities. — DayakDaily
