KUCHING, Nov 11: RM30 million has been approved under the Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA) to upgrade the roads at Kampung Biya Sapit and Kampung Biya Kiding in the Mambong constituency.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, GKCDA special officer Datu Ik Pahon Joyik made a working visit today to identify areas of the road that will be given priority, including widening, reducing the gradients, raising bridges, adding culverts, slope protection, and other requirements.
He said the upgrading works for the two roads will start next year and are expected to be completed in 2026 based on three phases that have been set.
RM20 million is allocated for upgrading Jalan Kampung Biya Sapit, while another RM10 million is for upgrading works in Jalan Kampung Biya Kiding.
The road upgrading project will be implemented and monitored by the Public Works Department (JKR) Kuching Division as the implementing agency. — DayakDaily
