RM225,000 in MRP grants approved for Kg Sudoh to upgrade facilities, conduct annual activities

KUCHING, Jan 31: Tasik Biru assemblymen Dato Henry Harry Jinep facilitated the allocation of a Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant totalling RM225,000 to Kampung Sudoh to upgrade village facilities and conduct annual activities.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, Henry said the grant allocation includes RM30,000 to upgrade the Kampung Sudoh Hall.

“RM10,000 is for upgrading the village’s sepak takraw court and the installation of the court fencing while RM5,000 was also channeled for cleaning works at Jalan Souh as well as to build a motorcross track,” he said during the closing ceremony for the Kampung Sudoh Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the launching ceremony of the Dewan Saga operation room in the village yesterday.

Henry disclosed RM10,000 had been channelled under his MRP allocation this year to the Kampung Sudoh Development and Security Committee (JKKK).

“An allocation under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) for the year 2023 will also be channelled for the upgrading of Jalan Souh, the village football field, toilet facilities, drainage systems, stage and storage room, worth RM100,000 each,” he added. — DayakDaily
