RM1 million power upgrade for Bung Bratak Heritage Centre

KUCHING, Feb 20: The Bung Bratak Heritage Centre in Bau is set to receive a major infrastructure improvement with a RM1 million electricity supply upgrade which will replace the existing generator-dependent system.

According to a news report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), this project by Sarawak Energy Bhd (Sarawak Energy), is estimated to be worth RM1 million and it is expected to replace the existing electricity supply system that relies on power generators with a more stable and efficient electricity supply system.

Opar State Assemblyman (ADUN) Billy Sujang, who recently attended a briefing session with Sarawak Energy Bau District, said this project is an important step toward enhancing the facilities at the Bung Bratak Heritage Centre, thereby boosting tourism activities in the area.

This project is set to enhance tourist attraction and benefit the surrounding community by improving electrical infrastructure which would then support various cultural and tourism activities in Bung Bratak. – DayakDaily
