KUCHING, Feb 29: Serian MP Datuk Seri Richard Riot Jaem is believed to have joined Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).
PKR’s communication director Fahmi Fadzil’s wrote a message welcoming Riot in his Twitter account.
“Keadilan mengalu-alukan kemasukan YB Dato’ Sri Richard Riot anak Jaem, Ahli Parliament Serian (P.199) ke dalam parti hari ini.
(PKR welcomes Riot who is Serian MP into the party today.)
At the same time, PKR’s central committee member Larry Sng has also posted a welcome message for Riot on his Facebook page.
Meanwhile, a source close to Riot confirmed that Riot is indeed joining PKR.
Riot was the deputy president of Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP).
He is a seven-term MP for Serian and was formerly the Human Resources Minister under the cabinet of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
