Rh Sampar, Rh Lidik in Bintangor receive RM50,000 each under RTP to improve infrastructure

KUCHING, Oct 16: Rh Sampar in Ulu Stras and Rh Lidik in Sg Mador, both located in Bintangor, have received RM50,000 each under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) project to upgrade the infrastructure of the longhouses.

According to a report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) yesterday (Oct 15), Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing said the implementation of the RTP project would be carried out in stages according to the funds that have been given and approved by the State government each year.

“The RTP project is very helpful in terms of infrastructure development for the longhouses, which also include cementing the main road,” he said when officiating the handing over ceremony of the RTP Project site to upgrade the infrastructure of the two longhouses, on Thursday (Oct 15).

He added the contractor has also been appointed through a draw process to implement the project.

Ding also conveyed his gratitude to the State government for approving the funds for the RTP project, as well as to Meradong and Julau District Council (MDMJ) for their continuous monitoring of the project to ensure that it is implemented accordingly. – DayakDaily
