Rh Lihal Gemong in Sri Aman undergoes EMCO starting today, 16 more areas to follow suit tomorrow

KUCHING, Aug 3: Rh Lihal Gemong located at Kampung Jaong, Pantu in Sri Aman has been put under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) from today until Aug 16.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today announced that the longhouse is among 17 new areas that will undergo the EMCO.


The other 16 areas which will undergo the EMCO simultaneously from Aug 4 to 17 are Kampung Haji Baki, Kampung Braang Temurang, Kampung Braang Bidak and Kampung Quop in Kuching district; Kampung Semera Hilir, Sadong Jaya in Asajaya; and Kampung Jirok in Simunjan.

The other areas are in Serian district, namely Kampung Paon Rimu Bakong, Kampung Paon Rimu, Kampung Sg Duuh, Kampung Krangan Tekalong, workers quarters at Salcra Melikin, Kampung Krangan Baru, Kampung Junggu Mawang, Kampung Linsat Batu Kudi, Kampung Krangan Trusan and Kampung Sungai Menyan Cina.

SDMC also extended the EMCO implementation at Kampung Bintawa Hilir in Kuching from Aug 4 to 17.

At the same time, SDMC also announced the end of the EMCO at four areas today, namely Rh Kambieng Abu Bengang, Krian and Rh Noel Praja Kabo in Saratok district; Rh Bundan Engkabang in Kabong; and Kampung Sungai Tapang in Kuching. — DayakDaily
