A notice issued by JBALB Sarawak on a scheduled water disruption in Sarikei on July 25, 2022.

SARIKEI, July 21: The entire Sarikei involving Sarikei town, along Jalan Repok, the whole of Kampung Seberang, Taman Susur Jambu and areas along Jalan Pasi-Selidap will experience a scheduled water supply disruption from 10pm to 3am on July 25.

The entire areas of Tanjung Manis Belawai, Rajang, Jerijih, Serdeng, Semalau and Bekakong will be affected as well.

Sarawak Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB), in a statement today, disclosed that the scheduled water disruption is due to upgrading of the existing water supply system in Sarikei Division involving the installation of new pipes.

As such, JBALB advised consumers to store sufficient water for household usage throughout the disruption period.

It also gave assurance that water supplies will be delivered to areas affected when needed.

JBALB extended its apologies for any inconvenience that it may cause during the period as well as its appreciation for consumers’ patience.

It added that latest developments related to the new piping connection works will always be communicated to consumers through JBALB Sarawak’s social media platforms.
