KAPIT, Feb 1: Immediate repair works are being carried out at Jalan Song-Temalat-Kanowit following a landslide incident on Jan 30, says Works Minister Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi.
At the same time, the Kapit MP said the Public Works Department (JKR) is also carrying out continuous soil monitoring to prevent unwanted incidents from happening which could endanger the lives of the public.
“For the time being, a diversion route has been provided for the use of small and light vehicles, and I have also requested that signs and traffic instructions in the diversion area be placed for the safety of road users.
“Thank you to all parties involved in taking swift action in the disaster-affected areas here,” he said on his Facebook today. — DayakDaily
