KUCHING, Nov 18: The reintroduction of Bible Studies will be raised with the Ministry of Education (MOE) for further discussion, says Sarawak Minister of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development (MEITD), Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn.
He said this during the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUS) sitting here today in response to Bukit Semuja assemblyman, John Ilus’ call to consider reintroducing Bible Studies in primary schools across Sarawak.
“I understand your concerns and my Ministry (MEITD) will raise this matter with (the) MOE for further discussions,” said Sagah.
John made the proposal when participating in the Sarawak Budget 2025 debate in the DUS sitting earlier on Nov 14.
He believed that the initiative would encourage tolerance and spiritual development within the younger generation. —DayakDaily
