KUCHING, Aug 30: Sporadic water supply disruptions in some areas in Siburan and Asajaya since 9pm yesterday was caused by works to redirect the water mains to make way for the Pan Borneo Highway project.
The Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB), in an statement, clarified that the work to redirect the water mains near Mile 10 Kuching-Serian road has been completed today at 9.30am and water supply should resume normally to affected areas.
Water supply to the affected areas was restored within 24 hours, the department said.
“JBALB has issued a notice on the disruption to affected residents at Kuching and Samarahan Divisions yesterday. No reports of serious water disruptions were received,” JBALB added. — DayakDaily
