Recoda donates Covid-19 vaccine refrigerator, equipment to boost Lawas vaccination, healthcare efforts

KUCHING, June 24: A top-loading Covid-19 vaccine refrigerator was among items donated to the Lawas District Health Office and the Lawas District Council by the Northern Region Development Agency (NRDA) under the Regional Corridor Development Authority (Recoda) today.

Other items included 12 emergency toolboxes, eight cold boxes, two air conditioners, three portable air conditioners, a dozen foldable chairs, five mobile toilets, four laptops, ice packs and a projector.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, Recoda said, the items given to Lawas would be used to facilitate efforts in providing healthcare and boosting the Covid-19 vaccination drive aimed at surrounding communities.

Deputy Chief Minister and NRDA chairman Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan witnessed the handover from NRDA Regional Director Datu Ubaidillah Abdul Latip to Lawas District Health Officer Dr Farida Nazahiya Mohd Salleh at the Islamic Training Institute of Malaysia (ILIM) Lawas Campus this afternoon.

Others present at the simple ceremony were Lawas MP Dato Henry Sum Agong, Lawas District Council secretary Zulkifli Sahari and Limbang Resident Ahmad Denney Ahmad Fauzi. — DayakDaily
