KUCHING, June 24: A total of 10 Covid-19 cases were detected so far at a supermarket at Jalan Setia Raja here, giving rise to a new Covid-19 cluster dubbed the Jalan Setia Raja Cluster.

At present, a total of 30 individuals have been tested for Covid-19 out of which 10 individuals including the index case have tested positive for Covid-19. The balance of 20 individuals have tested negative for the virus.

All the Covid-19 patients from the cluster have been admitted to the Low-Risk Covid-19 Quarantine and Treatment Centres in Kuching and Serian for isolation and treatment.

The Jalan Setia Raja Cluster is one of the four new clusters of Covid-19 identified in Sarawak. The other three new clusters are the Kilometer 23 Puncak Borneo Cluster (Kuching), Sungai Separai Cluster (Tatau) and the Jalan Sungai Antu Cluster (Sibu).

With four new clusters emerged and five clusters ended, there are still a total of 96 active clusters of Covid-19 throughout Sarawak.
