Rahman Lariwoo appointed as member to SSC board of directors

KUCHING, Oct 25: Sarawak Amateur Boxing Association (SABA) president Dato Rahman Lariwoo has been appointed as a member to Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC) board of directors for three years effective Aug 2022 until July 31, 2025.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Rahman joins 15 other members of the board which is chaired by Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.

Among other SSC board members are Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Dato Gerald Rentap Jabu, Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, permanent secretary for Minisry of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Nancy Jolhi, State Financial secretary Dato Sri Dr Wan Lizoman Wan Omar, Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak director Ir Richard Tajan, Youth and Sports Department Sarawak director Lamat Nyalau, and Sarawak Education Director Datu Dr Azhar Ahmad.


Also appointed as SSC board members are Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) vice chancellor Professor Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) rector Prof Dato Dr Jamil Hamali, Sarawak Ten Pin Bowling president Sunny Sii Poh Heng, Sarawak Disabled Persons Sports and Recreation Association (Pesron) president Matthew Chin Hiong Choi, Sarawak Rugby Association president Richard Song, Sarawak Shooting Association president Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai, and Sarawak Esports Association (Sesa) president Afiq Fadhli Narawi. — DayakDaily
