KUCHING, Feb 20: Toh Puan Raghad Kurdi Taib has clarified that her husband, former Sarawak Head of State Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud, is not the person in a recent online story and photo where he is allegedly depicted to be in critical condition.
Raghad took to her Instagram account today to clarify the matter.
“I’ve recently received messages about an online story of a hospital visit, featuring a photo claiming to be of my husband, Tun Taib, in critical condition.
“I want to assure everyone that this photo is not of him, but of someone else,” she said in her post.
She added that news outlets have confirmed that the picture is of someone else and requested that all blogs and media portals remove the story to protect the individual in the picture and Taib’s privacy.
“Tun Taib is still recuperating and we are receiving the proper treatment at the hospital where he is currently residing in KL.
“Please keep us in your prayers,” she said at the end of the post.
Recently, Raghad posted on her Instagram account that she had lodged a police report over claims of her allegedly ‘kidnapping’ Taib from hospital. — DayakDaily
