KUCHING, March 11: Individuals who have signed up for the inaugural Kuching Firefighters Run (KFFR) are reminded to collect their race packs on March 13 and 14 (Friday and Saturday).
The ‘Run for Good Health’ event, organised by Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Kuching Zone will be held on March 15 (Sunday) at Kuching South City Council (MBKS).
Bomba Kuching Zone chief PKB I Henderi Adrimansyah said to-date, a total of 1,019 people including 20 children have registered for the event.
“Those who have signed up can pick up their race packs from 9am to 5pm at the Bomba multi purpose hall in Tabuan Jaya. Please present your payment slip (manual sign up) or QR code (JomRun App) for collection.
Comprising the 7km Competitive Run and 3km Fun Run, the flag-off will be at 6.30am and 6.45am respectively, Henderi added.
Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian and MBKS mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng are expected to flag off the event.
There will also be a fire and safety awareness campaign and exhibitions on the same day.
Prizes will be given to the top 10 male and female finishers in the 7km category and a mystery gift for the youngest participant in the 3km category. There will also be a host of lucky draws.
