Queen tours popular Kuching India Street

KUCHING, March 30: Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah went on a walkabout of the city’s famous India Street Pedestrian Mall here yesterday (March 29).

She was accompanied by Tengku Datin Puteri Marina Tengku Ibrahim, Deputy State Secretary Datu Dr Sabariah Putit, Deputy Minister of Law, MA63 and State-Federal Relations Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng, and Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) mayor Datu Junaidi Reduan.

To that, Wee expressed gratitude for Her Majesty’s visit to India Street after her first in 2019.

Prior to that, the Queen visited the newly opened Borneo Cultures Museum and was welcomed by Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.

The Queen and her entourage will be returning to Kuantan today, ending her two-day official visit to Kuching. — DayakDaily
