KUCHING, Nov 3: Puteri Dang Yayasan Sarawak 3 captured the coveted title of ‘Raja Sungai’ (King of the River) in Sarawak Regatta 2024.
The team won the Men’s Bidar Category 30-rowers category, finishing ahead of Landas Azam Kasihnya Warisan 1, and UDAK.
The champions will bring home a RM30,000 cash prize and a championship trophy.
Landas Azam Kasihnya Warisan 1 will take home a RM20,000 cash prize and a trophy, while UDAK in third place bags RM10,000 and a trophy.
The prizes were presented by the Sultan of Brunei, His Majesty Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien.
The final day of Sarawak Regatta 2024 was graced by Head of State (TYT) Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, together with Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, Deputy Prime Minster Dato Sri Fadillah Yusuf, and other distinguished guests. — DayakDaily
