Public urged not to speculate about dead body at Jln Wharf, Sarikei

KUCHING, Oct 3: The public has been urged not to speculate on an incident where a man was found dead at Jalan Wharf in Sarikei on Oct 1.

According to a press statement by Sarikei police chief Supt Awang Arfian Awang Bujang, the police received a call at 9.50am informing them of the discovery of the body.

“The man was fully dressed. It was believed that he had fallen from the second floor of a building in the area and was confirmed dead at the scene.


“The remains have been brought to Sarikei Hospital for further action,” he said.

He added that the case has been classified as sudden death, and an investigation paper has been opened to look into it.

At the same time, he also took the opportunity to remind members of the public not to speculate about the incident. — DayakDaily
