KUCHING, Dec 18: The Association of Churches in Sarawak (ACS) extends a warm invitation to the public to attend the joint Christmas service on Dec 19 at 7.30pm at the Christian Ecumenical Worship Centre, located on Jalan Stampin.
This year’s celebration, organised by the Methodist Church SC under the leadership of committee chairman William Ting, carries the theme “The Love That Transforms”.
According to local dailies, the service will be primarily conducted in English, with Mandarin translation available, and will feature Bible readings and prayers led by representatives from ACS churches in Bahasa Malaysia, Iban, and Bidayuh Biatah.
ACS secretary general Elder Ambrose Linang emphasised the importance of unity, inviting all Christians to come together in fellowship to celebrate this joyous occasion, strengthen their spiritual connection, and praise God through prayer and song.
“This is a time to come together in unity and enrich one’s spiritual power,” he said in a press conference on Tuesday (Dec 18).
In a spirit of inclusivity, invitations have also been extended to members of interfaith communities, including Buddhists, Hindus, Bahá’ís, and Sikhs, reflecting the event’s welcoming nature.
Everyone is invited to join in this meaningful occasion, which promises to be a memorable night of worship, unity, and joy.
