PRS Tamin Division resolves for Salang to be president uncontested

KUCHING, March 19: Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Tamin Division has resolved for Datuk Joseph Salang Gandum to be the party president and Dato Majang Renggi the deputy president uncontested on Thursday (March 17).

This is in accordance to PRS supreme council’s decision in a meeting on Feb 12 for no contest on all party posts.

The meeting also resolved for three incumbent vice presidents namely Datuk John Sikie Tayai, Datuk Mong Dagang and Datuk Liwan Lagang to retain their positions, and for Datuk Aaron Dagang and Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong to be vice presidents.


At the branch meeting in Selangau, Tamin assemblyman Christopher Gira Sambang was elected unopposed as the new Tamin branch chairman, Senator Rita Insol the Women Chief, and Henry Kanyan the new Youth Chief. — DayakDaily
