MBKS mayor urges Sarawakians to flip the switch for Earth Hour on March 26

KUCHING, March 19: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng urges all Sarawakians to join in the Earth Hour activity next Saturday (March 26).

“Come join the Earth Hour initiative. We will be turning off the lights for one hour from 8.30pm to 9.30pm on Saturday.


“This is part of the commitment to protect the environment and save the Earth,” he said during today’s 103rd ShallWeeTalk live session.

The event will kick off with a Facebook live session at 8pm with remarks from Kuching, Sibu and Miri municipalities to highlight the significance of Earth Hour.

Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) will take the lead for this year’s Earth Hour, joined by MBKS and Miri City Council (MCC) from their respective cities. — DayakDaily
