KUCHING, April 28: Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) is ready to accept any legal challenge over the party’s decision to sack former PRS deputy president Datuk Joseph Entulu Belaun and four others.
In a statement today, its president Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing said the party stuck with its decision and was confident of the legality of their decision.
“PRS legal minds are confident on the legality of their decision to sack Joseph Entutu and the other four in accordance with PRS constitution.
“I trust their legal expertise and I am abide by their advice on the matter. Of course Entulu is free to challenge PRS on his sacking,” said Masing who is also Deputy Chief Minister.
He was commenting on the latest statement of former Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Entulu who expressed that he would challenge PRS’ decision in court.
Entulu was sacked on last Sunday (April 23) by the party for refusing to abide by its selection committee’s decision not to renominate him to contest in Selangau for the 14th General Election.
Also sacked were former Lubok Antu MP Datuk William Nyallau Badak, Supreme council member Edward Kurik, Nyempah Sabot and Adriana Chumang Nymabong. — DayakDaily
