Providing better healthcare: Mukah Hospital receives RM407,465 worth of equipment

KUCHING, March 25: Mukah Hospital received a donation of medical and non-medical equipment worth RM407,465 in a handover ceremony witnessed by Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine on March 24.

According to a report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), the Rotary Club of Bintulu Central (RCBC), in collaboration with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, delivered essential medical and non-medical equipment to Mukah Hospital under the ongoing ‘Delivery Hope—Touching More Lives’ initiative.

Mukah Hospital deputy director, Dr Ashadatul Amira Musa, stated that the donation included a van and critical hospital equipment, which will ensure more efficient patient care, better treatment, and greater support for hospital staff.

“Healthcare is not just about physical facilities; it is about the individuals who are dedicated to serving others, and today’s donation aims to ease their burden and enhance services to the community.

“Nowadays, the demand for better healthcare facilities is increasing. Therefore, the donation we received today is of great significance in our efforts to provide high-quality healthcare services to our patients,” she said,

She further stated that with the additional medical equipment, the hospital will be able to provide faster, more efficient, and quality treatment to patients.

This will directly improve the quality of services offered, streamline hospital operations, reduce waiting times, and ensure that patients receive quicker and more comfortable care. — DayakDaily
