BAU, Jan 7: The Association of Research and Development Movement of Singai Sarawak (Redeems) will celebrate its 25th anniversary at its centre here from this Jan 13 to 15.

Redeems president Datuk Peter Nansian Ngusie said the celebration, which includes a fireworks display, will be officiated by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg on Jan 14 at 8pm.

“From Jan 13 to 15, Redeems centre will have a grand event to commemorate our 25 years of existence and for this, we will launch our Bidayuh Cultural Village and do a house warming for our centre.

“In short, we will have three (occasions to celebrate) in one event,” Nansian told reporters today at Redeems centre, adding that he anticipated over 5,000 visitors to the three-day event.

He also said that several companies have agreed to participate in the event to showcase their products and services to the locals.
“For this event, it is not only about celebration, but also to help the local community,” he emphasised.
In conjunction with Redeems’ 25th anniversary, Nansian said a book containing detailed information on Redeems movement, projects, programmes and the Bisinggai community
will be published. — Dayakdaily
