KUCHING, April 12: Sarawak’s own airline is expected to be operational by 2025, says Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
Abang Johari said he would also announce the company’s business model and name once the matter had been finalised.
According to him, the principal agreement on the takeover of MASWing has been finalised between the Malaysia Aviation Commission (Mavcom), the Ministry of Transport (MOT), and Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG).
“What we need (to work with) now is only on the technical matters.
“I think (it will be finalised) by August this year. The latest is by the end of this year,” he told reporters when met on the second day of his Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house at Borneo Convention Center Kuching (BCCK) yesterday (April 11). — DayakDaily
