KUCHING, July 28: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is expected to attend the Sarawak Islamic Council’s (SIC) Ziarah Mahabbah 2026 programme for the Central Zone.
According to the Sarawak Syariah Judiciary Department, the programme is scheduled to take place from July 31 to Aug 1 at the Dataran Pehin Setia Raja in Mukah.
“Members of the public are encouraged to attend, take part in the programme, and participate in the various activities and programmes that have been arranged,” it said.
Various activities have been lined up throughout the two-day programme, such as a health run, mini education fair, a forum focusing on the family, and a demonstration on how to cook Melanau food.
It also noted that the officiation ceremony is set to take place on July 31. — DayakDaily
