KUCHING, March 20: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has stated that the second phase of the ongoing Darul Hana relocation project in Sungai Bedaun is scheduled to be completed by 2026.

According to Abang Johari, the relocation included residents from Kampung Panglima Seman Ulu and Kampung Pulo Hilir.

ā€œA total of 200 families will be accommodated in this new settlement that is being developed in Sungai Bedaun on a 56-acre land,ā€ he said when met by reporters at the Land Custody and Development Authorityā€™s (LCDA) ā€˜Majlis Iftar Darul Hana 2024ā€™ this evening at a hotel here.

He disclosed that the complete relocation of the population of Kampung Seberang Hilir will be delayed as a result of the development of another new settlement.

Furthermore, the State government is currently identifying an area close to Kampung Sungai Bedaun to develop the next phase of the Darul Hana project.

ā€œThis is to accommodate the large families of homeowners in the village involved,ā€ he added. ā€” DayakDaily
