Premier arrives in Toulouse in France for two-day working visit

KUCHING, May 5: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has arrived in Toulouse, France, to begin a two-day official working visit to the country.

In a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) report, he arrived on Sunday (May 4). Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and Sarawak Minister for Transport, Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin welcomed him.

Accompanying the Premier were Sarawak Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki; Sarawak Attorney General, Dato Sri Saferi Ali; Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Economic Planning & Development), Dato Sri Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel, and senior Sarawak government officials.

Later on the same day, the Premier is expected to witness the signing ceremony of a joint venture agreement (JVA) between AIROD and Satys.

On the second day, he will visit ATR’s final assembly plant, a world-leading turboprop aircraft manufacturer in France.

The delegation will then be taken to the ATR Final Assembly Line facility on Route de Bayonne and given a comprehensive briefing on the aircraft assembly process.

The visit will continue to the ATR Headquarters and ATR Customer Experience Studio to review the company’s latest innovations and customer experience approach.

Next, the delegation will depart for the Airbus Campus in Blagnac and attend a lunch and professional networking session at the Airspace Customer Showroom – Agoahub, hosted by the president of Airbus International, Wouter van Wersch.

The working visit will continue with a comprehensive tour of the Airbus customer showroom, before the delegation moves to the final assembly plant of the A350 aircraft, where the delegation will be given the opportunity to witness the final assembly process of one of the world’s most advanced commercial aircraft. — DayakDaily
