Premier Abang Jo meets with heads of states, briefs sitting about Sarawak’s devt

PUTRAJAYA, Oct 24: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg attended a meeting of the Premier/Menteri Besar/Chief Ministers at the Prime Minister’s Office here today.

According to a media release, the two-and-a-half hour meeting that started at 2pm was chaired by Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

As part of the meeting’s agenda, the Premier was given a slot to brief the sitting on Sarawak’s development over the past 60 years, the way forward as outlined under the Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030), Sarawak’s high income status and renewable energy development initiatives.

The Premier was given the honour by the Prime Minister to brief the Menteris Besar and Chief Ministers on Sarawak’s economy that had been recognised by the federal government as being ahead of other States in terms of sustainability and the development of a green economy.

Previously, the Premier had also given a similar briefing to the federal cabinet when it sat in Kuching in conjunction with this year’s Malaysia Day celebration that was hosted by Sarawak.

Accompanying the Premier was the State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki. — DayakDaily
