“This year, the Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Kota Samarahan will host the special prayer service in partnership with ACS Samarahan Branch,” he said.

Themed “Seeking Peace Through God’s Grace”, this year’s prayer service will focus on the importance of spiritual unity, hope, and social responsibility in building a peaceful, prosperous, and blessed Sarawak.

The programme will feature prayers, scripture readings, and reflections led by representatives from the different churches under ACS Samarahan Branch. In addition, the service will celebrate Sarawak’s rich cultural and linguistic diversity, with prayers, readings, and music delivered in multiple languages.

Among the key prayer points include for continued unity and harmony among Christians in upholding religious freedom, justice, liberty, political stability, unity, and social inclusivity.

Prayers will also be offered to the leadership of Sarawak, asking for God’s guidance to grant the leaders wisdom, courage, and justice in leading the State.

The prayer service will include prayers for economic progress, asking for God’s continued blessings on Sarawak’s economy, especially in fulfilling the goals of the Post Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.

There will be prayers for reconciliation and cooperation, with the hope of fostering stronger relationships between churches and communities, so that they may work together to bring healing, unity and hope to all people.

Lastly, the service will include prayers for children and future of Sarawak in seeking blessings, guidance, and empowerment for Sarawak’s children to grow in wisdom and faith as future leaders.

This Sarawak Day joint prayer service is open to all, including church members, families, friends, students, and the wider community. Everyone is warmly encouraged to join in this meaningful moment of prayer and thanksgiving.

“We believe gatherings like this not only strengthen our faith but also unite the hearts of Christians to be the light and salt of Sarawak,” said Cliff.

ACS Samarahan is calling on all Christians, especially those in Kota Samarahan, to attend and participate in the Sarawak Day 2025 joint prayer service.

“Come with open hearts, in the spirit of unity and love, so that our collective prayers may rise like a pleasing fragrance before the Lord,” he called on. — DayakDaily
